The Opportunity: 
Production Supervisor
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading and overseeing the assembly teams to ensure efficient and effective operations. This role involves coordinating all aspects of material processing and product assembly, either directly or through team members. Key responsibilities include setting work priorities, providing technical guidance, conducting analysis, and supporting both manufacturing and customer needs.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Lead a team of direct reports to meet operational goals and performance targets.
  • Oversee daily production activities, setting priorities that align with cost efficiency and operational effectiveness.
  • Inspire, coach, and develop team members; actively participate in the recruitment and selection process for new hires.
  • Assess team performance to support decisions related to promotions, transfers, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing efficiency, product quality, and profitability.
  • Support the development and execution of training programs, encouraging cross-training to build team versatility.
  • Champion a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement across assembly value streams.
  • Coordinate manufacturing schedules and priorities to ensure timely delivery of customer orders.
  • Identify capacity needs and temporary gaps and develop plans to meet our customer demand
  • Integrate Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) practices into daily operations.
  • Establish and maintain standard operating procedures, ensuring team compliance through observation and feedback.
  • Manage production schedules to meet product specifications and quality standards.
  • Analyze production and operational reports to identify trends, resolve issues, and minimize costs and delays.
  • Collaborate with engineering during the New Product Introduction (NPI) phase, offering input on manufacturability and testing to meet delivery timelines.
  • Work with peers and supervisors to determine key goals, track progress through metrics, and adjust plans as needed.
  • Coordinates and assists with business initiatives, participating in teams to drive best practice across the organization including but not limited to understanding, supporting, promoting, and improving the processes that are followed in PEKO’s quality assurance initiatives and Environmental, Health and Safety
  • Perform additional duties assigned to support business needs.
Reports To: Assembly Engineering Manager

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in operations and/or in a manufacturing or lean environment
  • Minimum one (1) year of leadership experience managing people or a project team
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business or other related fields, or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in operations or manufacturing or lean environment is a plus
  • Knowledge of basic manufacturing processes (safety, environmental, and assembly)
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methodology and Continuous Improvement
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills
  • Must be able to establish priorities and balance multiple objectives
  • Computer Skills: demonstrated proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, familiarity with MRP systems

Salary Range:
A reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position is $65,000 to $85,000.
The wage range for this role considers a wide range of factors when making compensation decisions, including skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, as well as other business and organizational requirements.
